Chertsey Jam

Clark hitting boooost
So last weekend was Chertsey jam, possibly the best day of the year. Lots of rad people turned up in a lot of amazing costumes, great to see so many people made a lot of effort for the day. There’s nothing to say that can convey just how good it was, if you missed out, you really missed out.

Trail jams with the atmosphere this had are the best. No comping, no one upping, just everyone chilling, having fun, riding one of the best sets of jumps in the UK. I hadn’t really ridden much there before, and the place is so much fun, everything works so well, is perfectly built and goes on forever. You need the stamina of Lance Armstrong at his prime to ride there all day. Riding wise, Will, Liam, Clark, Kent and Timmy were what i remember being good.
Scream
Looks like summers pretty much gone now. Although the summer has been far from perfect it’s been pretty rad regardless. Just a shame the amount of trails sessions was very limited through many parts of the season. Two weeks on Wednesday I head out to Oz and NZ, really exciting yet scary stuff. It will be good to be away for the typically worst weather on the calendar, but I can see myself still missing good old blighty a fair bit.

Also have something to look forward to getting back from NZ, hopefully going to be moving to Oxford with two tearaways known collectively as theshovelload, really excited about making that happen, living in a new place and helping make a sick scene in Oxford.
Tweak
Will Hermann had gone to quite some effort with his attire, but throughout the day lost it for jeans and a T-shirt. He then looked like either a chimney sweep or a blacked up racist, really funny looking. He too is escaping winter for a while, have lots of fun me lad. More fancy dress photos can be found here, here, and here. Check them out for some cool snaps and possibly a video Also check this for a few portraits I took for a friend, for his hippity hoppity site.

Thanks a lot to Rob and the other locals for building the best jumps I’ve ridden and for letting us come and ride them. People like that are way overlooked in this little world of Bmx. All you have to wait for now is dark grimey winter nights, and internet salt telling you everyone and their grandma should be digging non stop until spring. So dig some jumps and get haggard down your local I guess. Love you.
