ghetto DIY street bicycle riding with aidan
Monday 23rd Oct 2006 - Cothill
hello. we are not dead. although i dont visit the internet very much these days. havent been in oxford much over the past month, went down to devon for a while to see my parents and make apple pie and stuff in their country house. then came back and flew straight off to ireland to film a dvd for the irish tourist board for a week. im not editing it or anything like that, i just helped film and did the sound. all paid for. stayed in a bling hotel with a swimming pool in it, the irish know how to do big portions when it comes to food. you get what you dont pay for.
the day before i went to ireland me and aido went for a little street nibble a couple of miles down the road at a deserted building place. found some pieces of wood and made a very little/very mellow jump then tried to do some bike moves on it. aido does a tuck here. and he claimed tucks were cheap. pfff.
aidans a clever chap. he rides alot more than i do, so inbetween work and anytime spare he'll go find a little thing to ride and learn footjams and fufs and 360's etc. as a result hes learnt about 10 new things since i last rode with him. 180 off a ramp.
oooffff. i did a few tables off this and tried opposite unlookbacks which didnt get very far. but it wasnt much easier than doing it off a kerb or somethin. aidan managed to squeeze a street turndown in (def: a turndown that is in or under in). managed to create a little sub box thing as well which aidan footjam tyre grabbed. the boys good. more in about 6 months or so. xx
